More than 1 in 10 US kids has ADHD, survey shows
Fri Nov 22, 2013
I agree. I'm sure there are some kids that suffer but I feel many kids, especially boys are labeled this when they are just active boys. Everyone is not wired the same. Some kids learn differently than others. Does not make them stupid, quite the opposite in my opinion. Socie …
Lean times: Shoppers tapped out as holidays approach
Fri Nov 8, 2013
In reply to: hockeymom1111 #1 I was thinking the same thing. Who are these people? I haven't had a raise since 2005. I think most are still hanging on. Most new jobs out there have a starting hourly wage of $12 - $15 hour - not going to pay all the bills where I l …
Deputy who shot teen holding replica gun was firearms instructor, war veteran
Tue Oct 29, 2013
This kid was at fault. He should have dropped the gun when instructed to immediately. The toy had been altered by removing the orange tip to identify it was not a real gun. The parents should have explained to their son that you don't alter the gun and certainly don't walk the streets with it.
Consumers seem unimpressed by cheaper gas, heating oil
Mon Oct 28, 2013
I agree. My gas expense is the 2nd highest expense. Rent being number 1. The pennies that it has come down doesn't really give me any extra money. The grocery bill seems to keep creeping up each week. So no savings here.

I swear by accupuncture. I have chronic neck/shoulder pain and a couple of visits gives me the relief that nothing else can.

Police search for a motive in Nevada middle school shooting that left two dead
Tue Oct 22, 2013
Exactly right Jessie. I have always said being a parent is the hardest/stressful job you'll ever do if you do it right. Too many people having kids and not teaching them morals of what is right and wrong. It's much easier to have them roam the streets with friends finding nothing but trouble.
Food stamp benefits going down before the holidays
Fri Oct 18, 2013
In reply to: Fergieo-1777987 #374 You are so correct. Most people don't want to believe this is happening. The bleading hearts are the cause of this. It does break my heart to hear of the elderly being treated like garbage. America has stopped caring for Americans first …
Foster Farms chicken sickens nearly 300 with salmonella
Mon Oct 7, 2013
In reply to: Gene Longnecker #3 We too bought at Costco and are leary. We are looking into returning it. Doesn't sit well with me knowing you have chicken that is contaminated and being told to cook it well enough and you'll be fine...... Sorry, I don't want to take that chan …

Mon Oct 7, 2013
Here in N. Calif. were still at about $4.00/gal. I did see $3.98/gal. on way to work today.
