Data on cruise ship crime still falls short, GAO finds
Tue Jan 14, 2014
Been on many cruises never experienced a problem or saw any except for some guy high on something and was acting a little crazy, staff took him away. We don't bring anything of value and keep most everything else with us at all times. We love cruising.
Use your credit card at Target? Here's what to do if your data might have been swiped

I had my debit card cancelled and getting replacement. Interesting tho, the banks, Chase in my case was telling me I didn't need to replace my card but would be placed on a gray list to watch and assured me I wouldn't be out any money if account was hit and told me if I wanted to replace my ca …
Fast-food wage protests highlight shift in economy
Thu Dec 5, 2013
Working at a fast food restaurant was never suppose to support a family. Those jobs were designed for part timers (teenagers/students) after school or weekend jobs. $15/hour is crazy for flipping burgers and may I take your order. I personally don't eat fast food, so if they go out of bu …
'Survivor' Tribal Council shakeup shocks contestants and Jeff Probst
Thu Dec 5, 2013
That was one of the best episodes I've seen. Hayden did an awesome job making his point. Too bad his days are numbered because they will get him out unless Monica decides to make a move and stir it up again.

I agree. I'm sure there are some kids that suffer but I feel many kids, especially boys are labeled this when they are just active boys. Everyone is not wired the same. Some kids learn differently than others. Does not make them stupid, quite the opposite in my opinion. Socie …

In reply to: hockeymom1111 #1 I was thinking the same thing. Who are these people? I haven't had a raise since 2005. I think most are still hanging on. Most new jobs out there have a starting hourly wage of $12 - $15 hour - not going to pay all the bills where I l …
Deputy who shot teen holding replica gun was firearms instructor, war veteran
Tue Oct 29, 2013
This kid was at fault. He should have dropped the gun when instructed to immediately. The toy had been altered by removing the orange tip to identify it was not a real gun. The parents should have explained to their son that you don't alter the gun and certainly don't walk the streets with it.
Consumers seem unimpressed by cheaper gas, heating oil
Mon Oct 28, 2013
I agree. My gas expense is the 2nd highest expense. Rent being number 1. The pennies that it has come down doesn't really give me any extra money. The grocery bill seems to keep creeping up each week. So no savings here.
